The fact is, tunneled candles can be used and not thrown away by placing your favorite jar candles into a jar warmer. Jar warmers are a wonderful alternative solution to using those once thought useless candles
.
When a scented jar candle is lit and is not allowed to burn long enough for the wax to melt across the whole diameter of the candle, a divot occurs in the middle. If it's done repeatedly, the divot gets deeper. The candle will continue to burn unevenly and eventually a tunnel will develop which is vacant channel that has burned down the center of a jar candle. If the tunnel is allowed to get deep enough, the melting wax will extinguish the flame on future burnings.
Jar warmers use an electric heating element to melt the wax inside your soy jar candles without the use of a flame. The wax is warm, not hot, so you don't have to worry about children or pets getting burned if the candle is knocked over. When the wax melts, the candle's fragrance is released
Saving Money While Using A Candle Jar Warmer
Because jar warmers melt the candle wax without a flame, you can enjoy the fragrance of a candle that has tunneled. You can also put partially melted candles and waxes chips in a safe container and melt them in a jar warmer. In the long run, jar warmers will save you money because you will not have to throw away damaged or tunneled candles.
There may be times when you don't want to burn a candle, but would still like to have the aroma in your home. When you are entertaining family and friends and when there are small children around are just two instances when you may not be able to keep a close eye on the flame of a candle. Anytime your attention will be diverted away from a traditional candle is a good time to put a jar candle on a warmer. Another option is a reed diffuser , which allows scent to be dispersed without worrying about an unsupervised flame.
So, whether you want a way to enjoy a candle that has tunneled or if you have small children around the house and worry about burning candles the traditional way, it's a good idea to have a jar warmer on hand. By using them, you will be able to still enjoy your fragrant candles at times when you cannot devote as much attention as you would to a burning candle.
