Dallas Contracting Co., Inc. was contracted by a general contractor to perform interior demolition at a large warehouse. The basic scope of work was to remove approximately 40,000 square feet of steel shelving that was three levels in height from floor to ceiling. The detailed scope of work consisted of:

• Demolition of the three story steel shelving
• This was accomplished by skilled laborers using gas torches.
• We provided a water truck and hose to provide ample fire protection
• A fire-watch was also maintained
• All necessary safety protection was implemented.
• The work area was properly ventilated.
• The shelving was cut into small manageable pieces and then removed through the pedestrian doors at the side and rear of the warehouse.
• The work area was broom swept upon completion

Due to the amount of scrap metal recycled, we were able to offset a substantial amount of the demolition costs.

The project was completed on schedule and without incident or injury.
